Detailed Itinerary

Day 1  Arrive Changsha by bullet train or Flight Stay in Changsha

Today you will arrive Changsha by international flight or train from other city . explore Changsha city on your own .

Recommended places to go:

• Huangxing shopping street
• Pozijie food hunting street
• Orange island to see a big statue of Maozedong
• Yuelu academy

Travel Tips:  You can extend one day tour in Changsha if you arrive at Changsha in the night time .

Day 2  Changsha/zhangjiajie By fast train 2 hours/Tianmen mountian Stay in Zhangjiajie

Take fast train from Changsha to Zhangjiajie city , there are many trains from Changsha station to Zhangjiajie. easy to get a train tickets.  (Travel Tips: Please be noted that  trains from Changsha to Zhangjiajie departure from Chagnsha station , also names 长沙城际火车站，锦泰广场站。make sure you get to the right train station.   )

Your local driver and guide will meet you at Zhangjiajie west train station . You will start our tour by taking an adventure to Tianmen Mountain, Tianmen literally means ‘heaven’s gate’, and the scenery of this area does match its name.

We will ride the world’s longest cable car to get up to the mountain top , take walk on a glass walkway which is suspended 1,430 meters up.

Day3   Zhangjiajie National Forest Park/Tianzi mountain/Avatar moutnian Stay in Zhangjiajie

Today we will take a tour to zhangjiajei national forest park, It’s about 40 minutes driving by car to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, a World Scenic Heritage Site since 1992. Take a cable car up Tianzi Mountain and walk on the trails to admire large areas of grotesque peaks.Viewing platforms along the way allow you to see the scenery at different angles.

Lunch on the mountain is very basic, and it is suggested that you bring some snacks. Local villagers sell fruits and food along the way, which are also good to try. If you prefer, we can arrange to have lunch at a McDonald’s on the mountain, and have a break in the air-conditioned building.

In the afternoon, take the E-co shuttle bus to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area where recently-named Hallelujah pillar, one of the inspirations for Avatar’s floating rocks is located.we will use the  Bailong Elevator to descend the montain, a glass elevator built on the side of a cliff, taking only 2 minutes. Back to hotel for rest .

Day 4  Zhangjiajie Grand canyon/Glass bridge/Gold whip stream Stay in  Zhangjiajie

Enjoy a morning view of the zhangjiajie Grand Canyon completed with aesthetically pleasing cliffs, caves, streams, and lakes. Take time to observe flora and fauna of this natural museum of the northern temperate zone.

Slide down to the bottom of the hill where you have the opportunity to cross a half-mile glass bridge ,(the Glass bridge is built between two mountains of zhangjiajie Grand canyon, it is 375meters long and 6meters wide , With a height of 300meters from bottoms ).

then we will take a nice walk in Gold Whip Stream for a pleasant stroll along the stream, surrounded by grotesque rocks. You might see some monkeys there. Please don’t touch or scare them for safety reasons, but giving them food is OK. You will really enjoy the fresh air and pure water here.

Day 5  Zhangjiajie/Furong town /Fenghuang 240 km3.5 hrs Stay in  Fenghuang

In the morning,we will drive about 2 hours to Furong town. enjoy the night view of Furong town. The most beautiful side of Furong Town lies in the night. Without noise of the Phoenix Town, the nightscape of Furong Town is peaceful and charming.

The original name of Furong town is Wangcun or Wang Village. Historically, It’s 1 of 4 famous old towns in Western Hunan (Xiangxi Miao&Tujia Minority Autonomous Prefecture), and used to be very prosperous since it has an most important port when waterway was the main transportation in the whole Xiangxi area. Now it’s still well-preserved in the style of typical local town. however, Wang Village owns its fame by a controversial movie called “Furong Town”, in which a special phase of China: Culture Revolution is showed. After this well-known movie, it gains the 2nd name.

Then drive to Fenghuang ancient town,visit the ancient town in the afternoon.

Fenghuang is located on the western edge of Hunan Province and next to Guizhou. Praised as the most beautiful tiny city in China, it sets an example of what villages were like before the start of modernization. In the town dozens of lanes are paved with stones that run between the wooden houses built on stilts. Generations of local people have stepped on the lanes and worn them down bit by bit.

Day 6  Fenghuang-Departure

Guide will take you to take a visit of the Fenghuang ancient town.  or you can just do it on your own to relax and stroll around the small town.

Travel Tips : 

You can extend your trip from Fenghuang to other cities by fast train direclty  （Fenghuang to Changsha, Shenzheng, Guangzhou , Shanghai ）

From Fenghuang to Chongqing or Chengdu , better to take a train from Huaihua city . we can arrange a transfer from Fenghuang to Huaihua train station .

Fenghuang to Fanjing mountain.  it take about 2 hours car ride to Fanjing mountain . you can book a car with driver service with us to send you from Fenghuang to Fanjing moutain.

Fenghuang to Guilin: there is a morning train from Jishou city ,which is about 1.5 hour drive from Fenghuang .

Fenghuang to Beijing or Shanghai : we recommend to take a flight from Tongren airport , 1 hour away from Fenghuang city .
